At the Apollonia Dental Clinic, orthodontic therapy does not end with the removal of braces. In order to minimize the possibility of teeth returning to their previous position after orthodontic therapy, we pay great attention to the retention phase. The goal of retention is to keep the teeth in the new, desired position. <\/span><\/p>\n

Why is retention necessary?<\/h2>\n

Teeth may have a greater or lesser tendency to return to their original position, and soft tissue pressure creates a tendency for relapse, i.e., return to the initial position. <\/span><\/p>\n

Given that it takes time for tissue stabilization after braces are removed, retention is considered a mandatory procedure. <\/span><\/p>\n

How long does retention last?<\/h2>\n
