Enita Nakaš

Full Professor Enita Nakaš graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in Sarajevo. She has a master’s degree and a doctorate in orthodontics. Professor Nakaše’s master thesis was a clinical study that studied the prevention of side effects of fixed orthodontic treatment. After passing the specialist exam and many years of clinical practice in orthodontics, she defended her doctoral thesis, which dealt with the study of tooth movement when using drugs – bisphosphonates (clodronate).

She teaches at the Faculty of Dentistry in Sarajevo, and is a visiting professor at the School of Dentistry in Trieste (Università degli studi di Trieste) and at the Faculty of Dentistry in Naples (University of the Study of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli).

She is the editor of the international journal South European Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Research (SEJODR). She is a member and reviewer of the editorial boards of several scientific journals, as well as the organizational and scientific committees of professional and scientific conferences and congresses. She is an international lecturer in the field of orthodontics, jaw joint, and growth and development of the craniofacial system. She is the co-author of five books and more than 40 original papers in international scientific journals.

She was educated in Zagreb (Croatia), Boston, Tucson (USA), Bologna, Milan (Italy) and at numerous seminars and conferences in the field of jaw orthodontics.

Her field of work is orthodontics for children and adults, treatment of inflammatory and painful changes of the jaw joint, especially juvenile idiopathic arthritis, impacted teeth, cleft face and jaw, occupational stress, and bruxism.
