Vedran Uglešić

Full Professor Vedran Uglešić, PhD, is the head of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the School of Dental Medicine in Zagreb and the head of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Facial Surgery of the Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb. He has been working at the Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 1986, and he passed his specialist exam in maxillofacial surgery in 1990. He holds a master’s degree and a doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb. He is a member of the Croatian Society for Maxillofacial, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Head and Neck and the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery.

He is a tenured full professor of Maxillofacial Surgery at the School of Dental Medicine in Zagreb, as well as at the School of Medicine, University of Mostar.

He has given more than 100 lectures on cosmetic surgery around the world and published over 30 papers at home and abroad. Professor Uglešić covers the entire spectrum of head and neck surgery, including cosmetic, reconstructive and tumor surgery.

Areas of special interest: cosmetic head and neck surgery, facial bone deformities, reconstructive head and neck surgery, posttraumatic facial deformities and tumor head and neck surgery.
